However, before you come in, there are things you can do, too. We will make sure to do everything possible in office to ensure you are relaxed and enjoy your time with us. Here are a few ideas of things you can do to help yourself prior to your next appointment with us.
How to Best Remain Calm When Visiting Our Office
When you want to remain calm during your dental visits, first, schedule your appointments on days where you don’t have to typically rush. For example, if you know you will have to rush for specific errands on Tuesdays, avoid that day. Go with whatever days are usually easier for you.
Prior to coming to our office, make sure to avoid caffeine whenever possible. Having caffeine before you come in can make you jittery. Plus, it can also raise your blood pressure, which won’t help you remain calm. Try having water or a small bit of decaf tea before coming in to help.
Finally, if you know that you tend to get anxious, tell us. Here at Solace Dentistry, we will be sure to do whatever we can to help you through any nerves you may have. However, we don’t know when each person that walks in gets those nerves. We have a lot of resources available to you. We just need to know that you want us to use them to help you feel better.
